Houston Precision Fasteners was established in 2001 and is headquartered in Houston, Texas.  Dan Hunt, saw a need for a manufacturer that could produce hard-to-find, high strength bolts, nuts, pins, screws, studs and other specialty fasteners and properly support OEM build rates and other critical situations with the appropriate quantities and responsive impressive lead times.

In 2005 Dan brought on partner Mark Hahn, a 16 year veteran in the aerospace fastener industry. Mark’s knowledge of the aerospace fastener supply chain proved advantageous to the next stage of HPF’s growth.

Dan and Mark's combined skills quickly proved beneficial to the fastener world and opened up significant opportunities to further demonstrate their capabilities. Since 2005 HPF has earned approvals from major OEM’s such as Bell Helicopter, Boeing Integrated Defense Systems, Bombardier Aerospace, Gulfstream Aerospace and Lockheed Martin Aeronautics. HPF has supported aerospace programs ranging from corporate, commercial, military, and space, as well as weapons systems and specialty industrial programs in instances ranging from prototype support, planned production, aircraft on ground (AOG) and emergency war time support.
 
In 2009 HPF moved to a newly constructed facility located in a HUB Zone less than two miles from its’ original location.  Houston Precision Fasteners is continuously working on improvement in all areas of business and is ISO 9001:2000and AS 9100-B certified.  HPF is an active participant in the National Aerospace Standards Committee (NASC.)
